Xero Export Isn't Working

Making sure that the Currency, Tax Rate & Data Exports Settings are correct.

To find out about Xero exports please make sure to follow our tutorial explaining it. But there are some key things to note from the get go:

  1. Make sure you linked the correct organisation. If you see that your chart of accounts is not appearing correctly or not appearing, check that it is the company file that you wanted to use and for instance not a demo company or other company that may be linked to your Xero profile. You can always change and disconnect organisations.

    Additionally, you can have feeds going into different organisations and easily switch between them. These are some of the expert settings we provide you with on Premium and Pro.

3. Transactions keep appearing and multiplying in Xero. If you've selected a live feed, that's exactly what should be happening. However if you want to disable it you can head back to Manage integration and click on the red circle to turn off any of your live feeds.

4. Finally if you don't know your export data location or is in the wrong place. You will need to edit your export settings. Head to the Manage integration page and click the 'i'.

That will take you back to your list of exported transactions and by using the hyperlink you'll be able to go directly to your Xero file to see it and how it has been allocated.

NOTE:  you may need to log back into Xero if your session timed out for the hyperlink to take you to the right page, and again check which organisation you are in.
